My Campaign Qualified for Public Financing

Thank you for your help!

Thank you for your generous donation to my campaign. With your help my campaign qualified for the Public Financing Program for the office of Commissioner of Insurance. It is always awkward to ask friends and colleagues for funds in an endeavor in which I will benefit. With the Public Financing Program behind us we will be concentrating on meeting the public, talking to people and getting their opinions and concerns and informing them of my plans for the Department of Insurance.

Please email jodom@odom4doi.com with your opinions and comments. I am asking for your vote on November 4 and am looking forward to working for you as your Commissioner of Insurance.

John Odom files for Insurance Commissioner as a Republican
An eleventh-hour surprise: Under the Dome reports that Insurance Commissioner Jim Long, will not seek re-election. Instead, Wayne Goodwin, a former four-term state representative and failed candidate for labor commissioner in 2004, filed today for the seat as a Democrat.

On the Republican side, former Raleigh City Councilman John Odom filed to run for the seat.
